Artist Statement

Elliot Guerrisi-Watson (Elbow) is a Sydney born painter and street artist, working across a range of mediums, through the means of symbolism, pareidolia and the hand, with a particular focus on mural and large-scale canvas works .

His work draws from history, philosophy and mythology, mediated through lived experience. Elbow aims to facilitate a point of contemplation and reciprocal relationship between his works, the viewer and their environment, fostering a sense of collective ownership of space and community empowerment to shape our shared future.
